Welcome to the Sussex Independent Schools Diamond League (SISDL).
The SISDL is a fully immersive Track and Field competition between local independent schools where all Track and Field events are on offer. We encourage Athletes to enter as many events as they want to, enjoy the experience and try their best.

SISDL Leaders

Rob Kift
Founder of SISDL
Director of Sport at Hurst College
Mr Kift is Director of Sport at Hurst College and the Founder of the SISDL.
He joined Hurst College as Assistant Director of Sport in 1990 and took over as Director of Sport in 1994. He has also been Master-in-charge of Rugby, Master-in-charge of Swimming and the first Head of PE at the College. Mr Kift has a Bachelor of Education from Madeley College of Education (now part of Staffordshire University).

He is passionate about all sports, but especially Athletics, Rugby, Football, Tennis and Swimming (and when he was younger, surfing!). Having been born and raised in Devon he is an avid Exeter Chiefs rugby fan as well as a follower of Manchester United F.C.
Jason Jeffery
Head of Athletics at Hurst College
Mr Jeffery is Head of Athletics, and a Strength and Conditioning Coach, at Hurst College.
He hopes his passion for coaching, and the sport of Athletics, will inspire young athletes at Hurst and beyond.
Mr Jeffery has coached Athletics for every age range - from 5 to 70+ - since 2008. He is a club coach at Brighton & Hove AC, he coaches for Sussex and has also worked for England Athletics on their Youth Talent Programme.
Mr Jeffery is a keen athlete himself, specialising in 400m and 800m.


Ellen Franks
Mistress-in-Charge of Athletics at Hurst College
Miss Franks has worked at Hurst since 2010 and is Mistress-in-charge of Athletics and Head of Netball.
Miss Franks has represented Crawley Athletic Club and in 2008 was part of the Sussex team that was crowned National Champions at the English Schools Combined Events Championships. She has also represented Sussex in 400m, 400m hurdles, javelin and heptathlon.
